the MIND less FULL

Mindfulness for Stress Reduction

Over 11 million days are lost at work a year due to stress. Learning to recognise signs of stress and how to reduce stress levels can lead to a happier, healthier workforce.

Mindfulness for Stress Reduction is a workshop that raises employees’ and managers’ awareness of their personal stress levels and offers a range of practical solutions to help manage stress more effectively using Mindfulness techniques.

The workshop is research-based with lots of opportunity to practice the techniques discussed. The aim of the session is to empower and equip participants with a tool box of ideas of how to incorporate Mindfulness into their lives.

The workshop can be tailor-made to suit your organisation.

Teenager Under Construction

We teach our children so much about physical development and changes they will experience throughout their teenage years. We also teach them how to stay physically fit and healthy. Yet they all carry around the most amazing, complicated, fascinating 3lb slab of meat in existence - but so little time is given to teaching them how their brains develop and how to keep their minds fit and healthy.

Until around 20 years ago it was believed that the brain reached full development by puberty. That reckless, selfish and impulsive behaviour could be explained by raging hormones alone. Whilst hormones account for some of the explanation for the mood swings, moodiness and monosyllabic conversations, recent research has demonstrated that the teenage brain is only partially developed – and that it doesn’t reach full maturity until around the age of 25. It is this re-construction that is now thought to account for much of the behaviour changes we witness in our children as they reach the teenage years.

This session aims to educate teenagers, parents and teachers alike about the brain changes experienced and how to thrive during this reconstruction.
